The Conversation Initiative is about communication and how the way we communicate affects ourselves and the world around us. Changing the way we communicate changes everything. Watch the video to find out more.

A UNIQUE EDUCATIONAL
OPPORTUNITY

So many of the walls that divide us today – the walls around our hearts – are rooted in the past. We offer schools a unique educational tour of Berlin to bring this understanding to life: to help learners really feel how profoundly the events of the past still shape the lives of people today. We also offer the option to follow this up with workshops and online discussions to help learners integrate what they discovered and to begin to explore ways self-reflecting and communicating that lead to less division.

WHAT IS OFFERED

Our primary offer is a Talking Tour of key sites of Berlin where learners will take a tour of Berlin using a GPS-based app on their smartphones.that plays deeply moving stories as they approach
key sites.

An optional workshop where learners can process and integrate some of the things they have heard as well as gain an understanding of the sort of communication that lead to such honest and moving stories
Optional online modules where learners can further explore this type of communication.

WHERE DO THE STORIES
COME FROM?

Many people share their stories with us. If a story moves us or any of our participants., we ask the people who shared them if they would give us permission to publish those stories on one of our platforms: 3D Stories or the Talking Tour app and if that permission is given, we do so.

Please note that while learners are welcome to share their stories with us, for reasons of safety, we will not share stories from school learners onto any open platforms.
